Ultra-Stabilized Video
The DJI Neo incorporates two advanced technologies to ensure your group selfies and tracking shots remain clear and stable. RockSteady reduces image shake, while Horizon Balancing corrects any horizon tilt within +/- 45°, providing smooth and level footage.
AI Subject Tracking
The Neo acts like your personal photographer, fitting easily in your backpack. Its advanced AI algorithms can track you or other subjects, keeping them in frame as they move. You can select Smart Tracking to follow a chosen subject, or DirectionTrack to capture subjects from the front, flying backward as they approach the Neo.
QuickShots
To give your aerial videos a more dynamic and professional look, you can select one of six QuickShots. These are maneuvers that keep subjects in frame as the drone performs a complex pre-programmed flight path.
- Dronie: Flies backwards and upwards while keeping a subject in frame
- Circle: Circles around a subject at a steady height and distance
- Rocket: While focused on a subject, the drone shoots straight up into the sky
- Spotlight: The drone flies in any direction with the camera locked onto a subject
- Helix: While focusing on a subject, the drone will spiral up and away
- Boomerang: Focused on a subject, the drone flies in an oval path, going up and down, starting/stopping at the same spot
Vlog with Clear Audio
Narrate your vlogs using the DJI Fly app and the built-in microphone on your phone. As you speak, the app automatically reduces propeller noise and integrates your voice with the footage. This feature is especially useful for clear audio when vlogging at lower altitudes.
Traditional and Voice Control
Fly the Neo using your phone and the DJI Fly app, or use your voice. Saying “Hey Fly” will quickly wake the Neo and enable voice control via a series of spoken flight commands. When using your phone, you connect to the Neo over Wi-Fi and can enjoy a control range of up to 164′. Optional dedicated remotes, such as the DJI RC-N3, RC Motion 3, or FPV Remote Controller 3, are also available if you prefer more traditional piloting, require additional range, or would prefer a one-handed experience.
Safe Flying
As the Neo is a beginner-focused drone, DJI provides a series of safety features to make each of your flights an enjoyable and productive experience. First and foremost are the propeller guards that provide full coverage around the spinning blades, yet do not negatively impact flight performance. The Neo is also engineered to have Level 4 wind resistance, which helps in recording shake-free content. Finally, an automatic return-to-home feature will safely bring the Neo back to its point of takeoff if needed.
