The controller accepts any smartphone up to 7.1″ long, 3.4″ wide, and 0.4″ thick, which needs to be equipped with the DJI Fly app. The controller transmits piloting information using 2.4 and 5.8 GHz dual-band frequencies and receives an HD video feed from the drone to display on the phone’s screen. The included cables support both Lightning and USB-C-compatible phones. On a full charge, the RC-N3 can operate for up to 3.5 hours or, if its internal battery is used to power the inserted phone, up to 1.5 hours.
