32.5MP Full-Frame Sensor & DIGIC X Processor
Built around a 32.5MP full-frame CMOS sensor and Canon’s DIGIC X image processor, the R6 V captures sharp, low-noise imagery with impressive color reproduction and dynamic range. The high-resolution sensor supports 7K RAW recording and oversampled 4K video for increased detail and clarity, while Canon Log 2 delivers more than 15 stops of dynamic range for flexible grading workflows.
The camera offers a native ISO range of 100-64000, expandable to ISO 50-102400, for reliable performance across a wide range of lighting conditions.
Advanced 7K RAW & High Frame Rate Recording
The EOS R6 V supports an extensive range of recording formats and frame rates for professional video production. Internal 7K30 open-gate RAW and 7K60 RAW Light recording capture detailed 12-bit footage for advanced editing and reframing flexibility in post-production.
Oversampled DCI and UHD 4K recording is available up to 60p, while high-speed options include:
- 4K recording up to 120 fps
- Full HD recording up to 180 fps
- 12-bit RAW, 10-bit XF-HEVC, and XF-AVC recording formats
A dedicated color mode button provides quick access to Canon Log 2, Canon Log 3, HLG, PQ, Canon 709, BT.709, and additional customizable picture profiles for efficient workflow control.
Hybrid Shooting & Dual Pixel CMOS AF II
Blending strong still-image performance with advanced video tools, the R6 V retains many of the hybrid capabilities found in Canon’s photo-focused EOS R6 series. The electronic shutter supports continuous shooting up to 40 fps and includes Pre-Continuous Shooting mode for capturing moments before the shutter is fully pressed.
Dual Pixel CMOS AF II delivers fast and accurate autofocus performance for both video and still photography. The intelligent phase-detection system can recognize and track people, animals, vehicles, and other subjects while maintaining reliable focus during movement. Features such as Register People Priority allow users to save and prioritize specific subjects for improved tracking accuracy in crowded environments.

Coordinated Image Stabilization
The R6 V features Coordinated Image Stabilization, combining in-body image stabilization with optical stabilization in compatible RF and RF-S lenses for up to 7.5 stops of shake correction at the image center. Movie Digital IS further enhances handheld video performance with additional five-axis digital stabilization for smoother footage during movement-heavy shooting scenarios.
Video-Focused Body Design
Engineered specifically for video production, the EOS R6 V incorporates a practical, creator-focused design with an integrated active cooling system for extended recording times. The cooling system allows for more than two hours of continuous 7K RAW Lite recording during longer productions.
