Professional Wireless Timecode Synchronization
Designed for filmmakers, videographers, and production crews, the Deity TC-1 Wireless Timecode Generator streamlines multicamera workflows by keeping cameras and audio recorders perfectly synchronized throughout production. By recording accurate SMPTE timecode across multiple devices, the TC-1 dramatically reduces post-production time, allowing footage and audio to align automatically during editing. Its compact design, long battery life, and flexible wireless control make it an ideal solution for productions ranging from documentaries and weddings to commercial shoots and feature films.
Precision Timecode Performance
Built around a high-accuracy TCXO oscillator, the TC-1 delivers exceptional timing precision with ±0.5 ppm accuracy and an ultra-low drift rate of less than one frame over 72 hours. Supporting all major SMPTE timecode formats, it provides reliable synchronization for cameras, audio recorders, and other professional production equipment throughout an entire shooting day.
Supported frame rates include:
- 23.98 fps
- 24 fps
- 25 fps
- 29.97 fps
- 29.97 Drop Frame
- 30 fps
- 50 fps
- 60 fps
Flexible Wireless Synchronization
The TC-1 offers multiple methods for keeping production equipment synchronized without interrupting your workflow.
Using Bluetooth 5.0, the free Sidus Audio mobile app can wirelessly jam sync and manage up to 20 TC-1 units from distances up to 250 feet. For on-set synchronization without a smartphone, Deity’s proprietary 2.4 GHz wireless system allows up to eight TC-1 units to communicate directly within a range of approximately 30 feet.
For traditional workflows, the TC-1 also supports hardwired jam synchronization through its locking 3.5mm TRS timecode connector or can operate as a standalone master timecode generator for syncing additional devices.
Simplify Post-Production
Adding synchronized timecode to every camera and recorder allows editing software to automatically align footage and audio, eliminating the need to manually synchronize waveforms. This significantly speeds up post-production for:
- Feature films
- Television productions
- Commercial shoots
- Documentaries
- Music videos
- Live events
- Reality television
- Multi-camera interviews
Broad Camera & Recorder Compatibility
The TC-1 is compatible with a wide variety of DSLR, mirrorless, cinema cameras, and professional audio recorders.
A locking 3.5mm TRS timecode port provides a secure connection that minimizes accidental disconnects during production. The included locking TRS cable allows many mirrorless and DSLR cameras to record timecode on one audio channel while leaving the second channel available for reference audio captured by the TC-1’s built-in omnidirectional microphone.
Optional cables are available separately for professional equipment featuring 5-pin LEMO or BNC timecode connections.
OLED Display & Onboard Controls
A bright 1-inch OLED display provides instant confirmation of timecode status, synchronization, frame rate, and wireless settings. Dedicated onboard controls make it easy to configure the generator directly, while LED status indicators clearly display power, synchronization, and wireless pairing information.
All-Day Battery Performance
The built-in rechargeable battery delivers up to 28 hours of continuous operation on a single charge, making the TC-1 suitable for extended production days. Charging is handled via USB-C, with a full recharge taking approximately two hours.
Compact Mounting Options
Designed to integrate seamlessly into any camera rig, the lightweight TC-1 includes multiple mounting solutions:
- Integrated hook-and-loop mounting pad
- DSLR cold shoe soft-loop mount
- 1/4″-20 mounting thread
- 3/8″-16 mounting thread
These options allow secure attachment to cameras, cages, audio recorders, rigs, or support equipment without adding unnecessary bulk.
Built for Professional Productions
Combining ultra-accurate SMPTE timecode generation, wireless synchronization, long battery life, and broad compatibility, the Deity TC-1 provides an efficient solution for modern multicamera productions. Whether you’re working with cinema cameras, mirrorless systems, or professional audio recorders, it helps ensure every device stays perfectly synchronized from the first take to the final edit.
