Updated Sensor with Wide Dynamic Range
At the core of the Osmo Action 6 is a new 1/1.1″ square sensor that enables detailed 4K120 recording and high-resolution stills while maintaining excellent clarity in challenging lighting. The square sensor preserves image quality across the frame, making it ideal for reframing horizontal, vertical, or square footage without sacrificing resolution. A 155° ultra-wide field of view ensures immersive coverage for fast-paced action.
For advanced color grading, 10-bit D-Log M delivers over one billion colors and up to 13.5 stops of dynamic range, preserving highlights and shadow detail for cinematic results.
Variable Aperture for Creative Control
Breaking away from traditional fixed-aperture designs, the Osmo Action 6 features a variable f/2–f/4 aperture, allowing the camera to adapt to changing lighting conditions. Whether shooting bright landscapes or dim nighttime scenes, the aperture adjusts automatically or manually for balanced exposure and sharper results. When paired with the optional macro lens, it also enables dramatic close-ups with natural background blur.
Starburst & SuperNight Modes
The new Starburst mode transforms light sources into striking star-shaped highlights, adding dramatic flair to night scenes. For low-light video, SuperNight mode combines the larger sensor, wider aperture, and advanced noise reduction to capture clean, detailed footage in conditions that would normally challenge an action camera—up to 4K60.
High-Resolution Photos & Live Photos
Shoot detailed still images at approximately 38MP (7168 × 5376) or 8K (16:9) resolution, giving you freedom to crop without losing clarity. You can also convert short 3-second video clips into dynamic live photos for expressive stills with motion.
Dual OLED Touchscreens
The Osmo Action 6 features bright OLED displays on both sides of the camera for easy monitoring and control. The 2.5″ rear touchscreen and 1.46″ front display both deliver up to 800 cd/m² brightness, making them easy to view outdoors. The interface automatically adjusts when switching between horizontal and vertical orientations, and the responsive touchscreens work reliably even with wet hands—ideal for water sports and harsh environments

Capture dramatic slow-motion footage with up to 32× Super Slow Motion using advanced frame interpolation. Pre-recording ensures you never miss the moment by buffering footage before pressing record, while the Highlight feature lets you mark key moments during recording to speed up editing later.

The updated dual-direction quick-release mount makes switching accessories fast and secure. A redesigned protective frame supports native vertical shooting, making it easier to create content for social platforms without rotating footage in post. Storage, Transfer & Battery Performance
In addition to a microSD slot supporting cards up to 1TB, the camera includes 50GB of internal storage for added flexibility. Optimized bitrates reduce file size without sacrificing quality. Transfer footage quickly using Wi-Fi 6 or USB 3.1, with wireless speeds up to 80 MB/s.
The upgraded 1950mAh Battery Plus enables up to 4 hours of continuous recording and operates in temperatures as low as -4°F. Fast charging powers the battery to 80% in just 22 minutes.
Audio, Live Streaming & Waterproof Design
Three built-in microphones capture clear, immersive sound, while DJI OsmoAudio enables direct connection to DJI wireless mic transmitters without a receiver. The camera supports 32-bit float audio, built-in mic backup, and external microphones via USB-C.
The rugged body is waterproof to 65.6 ft, with an optional case extending depth to 197 ft. A built-in water pressure gauge tracks depth and altitude and can automatically start or stop recording when entering or exiting water.
DJI Mimo App & Timecode Sync
Use the DJI Mimo app to preview footage, adjust settings, and edit with templates and one-tap tools—without downloading files to your phone. Built-in timecode support simplifies syncing footage from multiple cameras in professional workflows.
