Reliable 400Ws power, enhanced control, and a versatile design make the AD400Pro II All-in-One Outdoor Flash from Godox a powerful lighting solution for both studio and location work. Building on the popular AD400Pro, this second-generation model adds a new group color indicator system, a larger 30W bi-color LED modeling light, and a refined 2.4″ color screen for easier operation. Weighing just 4.4 lb, the AD400Pro II retains its portability while offering full TTL compatibility with major camera brands, ultra-fast recycle times, and advanced freeze mode for action-stopping flash durations.
Portable Power and Performance
The AD400Pro II delivers 400Ws of output across 10 stops (1/1 to 1/512 in 0.1-step increments), giving photographers precise control for every scenario. A detachable lithium battery pack supports up to 460 full-power flashes per charge, while high-speed sync works with shutter speeds up to 1/8000 sec. In freeze mode, flash durations range from 1/3470 to 1/27,770 sec, ensuring sharp detail even in motion-heavy scenes.
Built-In 2.4 GHz Wireless X System
With a wireless range of 328′, the flash integrates seamlessly with Godox’s 2.4 GHz X system, supporting 16 groups, 32 channels, and 99 IDs for organized multi-light setups. Remote triggering is compatible with Godox controllers such as the XPro, XPro II, X2, and X3 (sold separately). A 3.5mm sync port and USB-C connection expand wired and firmware update options.

Group Color Functionality
One of the new features in the AD400Pro II is its group color indicator, allowing each of the 16 groups to be displayed in a unique color directly on the flash head for instant identification. Together with the 2.4″ color display and intuitive dial, this feature streamlines on-location workflow and multi-light coordination.
30W Bi-Color LED Modeling Light
The upgraded modeling lamp now offers bi-color adjustment from 2800 to 6000K and variable brightness from 10–100%. With CRI/TLCI ratings of 97/98, it provides accurate preview lighting or can serve as an auxiliary light for video recording. Modes include OFF, FREE, and PROP, with PROP allowing the modeling light to track flash power settings.
Stable Color Temperature
A Stable Color Temperature Mode ensures consistent output across the power range, keeping color shifts within ±75K. With a default flash tube temperature of 5800K (±200K), the AD400Pro II is well-suited for portraits, weddings, products, and other applications where color accuracy is critical.
Versatile Mounting & Accessories
While the flash features a proprietary Godox mount, it ships with a Bowens mount adapter for compatibility with a wide range of softboxes, reflectors, and modifiers. Optional adapters for Profoto, Broncolor, and Elinchrom mounts are also available. An integrated umbrella mount and broad accessory support make it adaptable to nearly any lighting setup.
