Modular Sony TTL Trigger
The Godox X5S TTL Wireless Flash Trigger is designed to pair with the separately available iT32 TTL Mini Flash, adding a Sony-compatible hot shoe and wireless flash triggering capabilities. Its magnetic connection allows the X5S to attach quickly to the iT32, creating a compact on-camera flash system with a secure locking mechanism.
Sony Camera Compatibility
The X5S is designed for use with select Sony cameras, including the a7R III, a7R IV, a7R V, a7 IV, a7C, a7C II, a9, a9 III, a6400, a6500, ZV-E10, and other compatible models. When attached to the iT32, the X5S functions as the hot shoe interface for on-camera operation.
Wireless Flash Control
When used with the iT32, the X5S can operate as a transmitter within Godox’s 2.4 GHz X wireless system. It can control compatible Godox flashes, including the AD100Pro II, AD200Pro II, AD600Pro II, AD600BM II, iT30Pro, V100, V480, and Lux Master series. The combined iT32 and X5S system can also trigger additional Godox flashes for more advanced multi-light setups.
Magnetic Attachment
Attaching the X5S to the iT32 is simple: align the trigger with the bottom of the flash, allow the magnetic connection to engage, and rotate the locking ring to secure the assembly to the camera’s hot shoe. When detached from the iT32, the X5S can function independently as a wireless trigger.
Compact Rechargeable Design
The X5S features a built-in 3.8V, 100mAh lithium battery. It does not have a dedicated power switch; instead, color indicators provide status information, while the flash’s menu can display the trigger’s battery level when the two units are connected. The X5S takes approximately three hours to fully charge through the iT32 and provides approximately 16 hours of discharge time from a full charge.
