Version II Enhancements

The updated optical image stabilization system compensates for up to 4.5 stops of camera shake at both the wide and telephoto ends of the zoom range. When paired with a compatible OM SYSTEM camera, the advanced five-axis Sync IS system provides up to 7 stops of shutter speed compensation, supporting sharper handheld images at longer focal lengths.

The lens also offers a minimum focusing distance of 4.27′ and a maximum 0.57x full-frame equivalent magnification. Combined with image stabilization, these capabilities support close-up telephoto photography, making it easier to capture fine details in wildlife and other subjects.
