The SR-PAX1 Two-Channel Audio-Mixer, Preamp, Microphone Adapter from Saramonic is a compact, two-channel active audio mixer with pre-amplifier and phantom power that is designed for DSLR cameras and camcorders. It can be used to record professional-quality audio from two independent sources and mix them into your camera simultaneously.
The SR-PAX1 attaches to the base of a camera, and a threaded socket on its base allows for mounting on a tripod or case. The two-channel audio mixer features two XLR inputs, two 3.5mm TRS inputs, and two 1/4″ inputs with a 3.5mm TRS output jack. The input levels of each channel can be controlled with the two gain-control knobs. In addition, a phone jack allows you to monitor the audio in real time.
Saramonic SR-PAX1 Two-Channel Audio-Mixer, Preamp, Microphone Adapter, When using a DSLR, mirrorless, or video camera to capture both audio and video, you’re usually limited to a single microphone input, which can be a challenge if you’re conducting field interviews or in other situations that require two mics for full coverage. The Saramonic SR-PAX1 ultra-compact, 2-channel audio mixer solves the problem, allowing you to input two microphones into a single 3.5mm jack. The SR-PAX1 is a passive unit that requires no batteries or external power to operate, so you never have to worry about charging it up prior to a shoot. Equipped with a built-in shoe, it attaches directly to your camera — or attach it to tripods, camera cages, and more with its 1/4-20 tripod thread. The SR-PAX100’s indented attenuator knobs make it easy to accurately set volume levels, and it records audio in one or two modes: mono, which blends the signals together; and stereo, which splits them between the left and right channels. And, the Saramonic doesn’t waste any space, providing you with three additional shoe mounts for lights, microphones, and wireless receivers.
