Fast and Reliable Autofocus
Dual XD (extreme dynamic) linear motors provide fast and accurate autofocus, while the internal focusing design maintains a compact overall length and efficient operation. The lens also supports autofocus at up to 120 fps and features low focus breathing, making it well suited for video capture.
Compact and Practical Design
Weighing just 10.7 oz, the lens is designed for comfortable extended shooting. A focus hold button, AF/MF switch, and physical aperture ring provide direct control over key settings. The front element also accepts 67mm screw-in filters, adding flexibility for UV, ND, and other filters.
Advanced Optical Design
Two Advanced Aspherical elements help minimize field curvature and astigmatism, while three extra-low dispersion elements and one Super ED element help improve resolution and clarity while reducing optical aberrations. The lens also features a dust- and moisture-resistant design and a fluorine coating on the front element for added protection against water, oil, and contaminants.
