Cinematic, Painterly Look for Long Telephoto Shots
Outfit your full-frame ARRI PL-mount camera with the DZOFilm Arles 180mm T2.4 FF/VV Prime Cine Lens to achieve stunning telephoto imagery with natural sharpness and cinematic character. This longer focal length is ideal for isolating subjects with remarkable clarity and a shallow depth of field, especially in portrait or narrative filmmaking. Its T2.4 to T22 aperture range supports low-light performance, while the 16-blade iris and intricate optical construction deliver rich, creamy bokeh. The lens offers smooth, manual operation with a 270° focus rotation and a 77° iris rotation, allowing for refined, precise control on set.
Designed for Large-Format Coverage
The Arles 180mm covers a 50mm image circle, making it fully compatible with large-format and VistaVision sensors. When used at its widest aperture, the lens creates a soft, painterly image with a distinct, swirling bokeh toward the frame edges—perfect for artistic, expressive visuals that stand out in a cinematic workflow.
Enhanced Optical Stability
To maintain consistent composition, floating internal elements reduce focus breathing during focus pulls. The lens also features aspherical components and low-dispersion glass to improve sharpness and reduce chromatic aberrations. This design ensures accurate color reproduction and clean contrast even in challenging lighting conditions.
Flexible Mounting and Unified Series Design
Equipped with a standard ARRI PL mount, the lens can also be adapted to Canon EF mounts (sold separately) to accommodate a broader range of cine and DSLR camera systems. Its 95mm outer diameter and M86 filter thread make it compatible with common matte boxes and filters. Like all lenses in the Arles series, it includes 0.8 MOD cine-style gear rings for both focus and aperture. Matching physical dimensions and gear positions across the lineup allow for quick and effortless lens swaps during production.
