OM SYSTEM OM-1 Mark II Mirrorless Camera

Compact, powerful, and built for versatility, the OM SYSTEM OM-1 Mark II stands as the flagship of the Micro Four Thirds lineup, delivering a refined balance of speed, precision, and portability for both photographers and videographers. Built around a 20MP stacked BSI Live MOS sensor and the advanced TruePic X processor, it offers impressive image quality, fast performance, and excellent low-light capability with a native ISO range of 200 to 102,400. The Micro Four Thirds format also provides an effective telephoto reach advantage, making it especially well-suited for wildlife and nature photography, while its advanced in-body image stabilization ensures sharp handheld results in a wide range of conditions.

Sensor and Processor

The combination of a stacked sensor design and TruePic X processor enables fast readout speeds, reduced rolling shutter, and responsive overall performance. This setup is optimized for both high-speed still shooting and advanced video recording, while maintaining strong image quality across varying lighting conditions.

Image Stabilization

A 5-axis in-body image stabilization system provides up to 8.5 stops of compensation, helping to reduce camera shake and improve sharpness when shooting handheld, especially in low-light or telephoto scenarios.

Autofocus System

The Cross Quad Pixel autofocus system features 1053 phase-detection points with near full-sensor coverage. Enhanced AI subject detection allows the camera to recognize and track subjects such as humans, birds, animals, and vehicles, ensuring fast, accurate, and reliable focusing performance.

Mark II Enhancements

Updates to the Mark II improve both usability and image output:

  • 14-bit RAW output for greater tonal depth
  • Improved blackout-free sequential shooting
  • Updated menu system for streamlined navigation
  • Rubberized dials for enhanced tactile control
  • Customizable button functions for improved workflow

Live ND and GND

Built-in Live ND (up to ND128) and Live Graduated ND filters allow users to simulate long exposure and graduated filter effects directly in-camera, with real-time preview through the viewfinder or LCD.

Video Recording

Supports DCI and UHD 4K recording at up to 60p with 10-bit 4:2:0 color, along with Full HD recording at up to 240 fps for slow-motion playback. Vertical video recording is also available for streamlined content creation.

Build and Durability

The OM-1 Mark II features an IP53-rated design that is dust-, splash-, and freeze-resistant, with reliable operation in temperatures as low as 14°F, making it suitable for demanding outdoor environments.

Additional Features

  • 5.76m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder for high-resolution viewing
  • 3.0″ vari-angle touchscreen LCD for flexible composition
  • Dual UHS-II SD card slots for extended shooting and backup
