The Ricoh GR III Diary Edition Digital Camera continues the legacy of the acclaimed GR series, combining a sleek, compact design with powerful performance. Equipped with a 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor and the advanced GR Engine 6, it delivers stunning image quality with smooth tonality, vibrant color, and high sensitivity from ISO 100-102400. Whether shooting high-resolution 14-bit DNG stills or Full HD video, the GR III excels in various settings. It features an 18.3mm f/2.8 prime lens with a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 28mm, perfect for a wide range of photography. New to the GR series is the 3-axis Shake Reduction System, which minimizes the effects of camera shake for sharper handheld shots at slower shutter speeds.
Diary Edition
The Ricoh GR III Diary Edition features a textured metallic surface that underscores the camera’s reliability and quality while providing a secure grip. Its elegant finish not only enhances the camera’s aesthetic appeal but also allows it to seamlessly integrate into everyday life.
The camera offers a Negative-Film Image Control Mode, which emulates the color tones of traditional negative film for a nostalgic photographic look.

Smartphone integration is enhanced with the new power-off function via ImageSync, allowing you to check and transfer images as well as turn off the camera while it remains in your bag.
Additionally, an original shut-down screen features an embossed product logo against a fabric-like textured background, echoing the camera’s unique color finish.
Prime Wide-Angle Lens
The Ricoh GR III Diary Edition features a fixed 18.3mm prime lens, offering a versatile 28mm equivalent wide-angle view. Its bright f/2.8 maximum aperture ensures excellent performance in various lighting conditions. The lens’s optical design, consisting of six elements in four groups—including two aspherical elements—minimizes spherical aberrations and distortion, delivering sharp, accurate images. It supports two focusing modes: one for general subjects from 3.9″ to infinity, and a macro setting for close-up shots within a 2.4-4.7″ range. An internal two-stop effective ND filter (ND 0.6) enables slower shutter speeds or wider aperture settings, while the nine-blade diaphragm contributes to beautifully smooth bokeh. The redeveloped lens design enhances contrast and is 1.5mm thinner than those in previous GR models.
Shake Reduction System
For the first time in a GR camera, the GR III Diary Edition incorporates a 3-axis Shake Reduction System, which effectively reduces camera shake for sharper handheld shots at slower shutter speeds. Optimized for the built-in 28mm-equivalent lens, this system is compact yet highly effective. It also includes moiré reduction and dust removal features, ensuring consistently high image quality.
