Portable Telephoto Zoom
The Sigma 50-120mm f/2.8 DC OS Contemporary is a versatile telephoto zoom designed for APS-C cameras, providing a useful focal-length range in a compact and travel-friendly design. Measuring just 3.9″ long and weighing under one pound, the lens combines a constant f/2.8 aperture with fast autofocus and optical stabilization for everyday shooting, travel, and telephoto applications.
Responsive Autofocus
A High-Response Linear Actuator autofocus system provides fast and accurate focusing for a variety of subjects, from static scenes to fast-moving people and other action. The system supports quick subject tracking and rapid transitions when switching between subjects.
Focus breathing is also suppressed, helping maintain a consistent angle of view during focus adjustments and making the lens well suited for professional video production.

Reliable Optical Stabilization
The lens features Sigma’s OS2 optical stabilization system, providing up to 6.5 stops of shake correction at the wide end and 4.5 stops at the telephoto end. This stabilization helps make handheld shooting more practical when working at slower shutter speeds, in low-light conditions, or toward the longer end of the zoom range.
Crystal-Clear Optics
The optical design incorporates one FLD element, three SLD elements, and four aspherical elements to help minimize optical aberrations and distortion while maintaining sharpness and accurate color throughout the zoom range. Image quality remains consistent even when shooting wide open at f/2.8.
An 11-blade rounded diaphragm produces smooth bokeh and gradual focus falloff, helping separate in-focus subjects from their backgrounds.

Ready for Anywhere
A dust- and splash-resistant construction helps protect the lens when shooting in changing weather conditions, providing added confidence for outdoor and travel photography. The front element also features a water- and oil-repellent coating that helps resist contaminants and makes the lens easier to clean.
