Building on the success of the Pocket Cinema Camera 6K, Blackmagic Design elevates its cine-style lineup with the Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro—a compact Super 35 camera packed with professional upgrades while retaining the core performance filmmakers rely on. It features the same sensor, recording formats, dynamic range, and intuitive control layout as its predecessor, while introducing powerful enhancements designed for more demanding productions.
The 6K Pro adds a bright 5″ tilting HDR touchscreen with 1500 cd/m² brightness for confident outdoor monitoring, built-in clear and 2-, 4-, and 6-stop IR ND filters for fast exposure control, and dual mini-XLR inputs with phantom power for professional audio capture. An accurate internal timecode clock, NP-F570 L-series battery slot, and updated Gen 5 color science round out the upgrades, making the 6K Pro a more complete all-in-one cinema solution.
Despite only a slight increase in size, the camera records the same stunning resolutions up to 6144 × 3456 at up to 50 fps. The active Canon EF mount allows you to use a wide range of EF and EF-S lenses with electronic iris, autofocus, and zoom control on compatible glass. Whether you’re capturing richly detailed 6K footage, reframing shots in post, or matching footage with other Blackmagic cameras, the 6K Pro offers flexibility at every stage of production.
Recording options include internal CFast 2.0 and SD/UHS-II card slots, USB-C output for direct recording to external SSDs, and HDMI output for live streaming through an optional ATEM Mini switcher. The camera supports Blackmagic RAW and ProRes recording, giving you full control over image quality and workflow. A DaVinci Resolve Studio license is included, streamlining post-production with direct access to Blackmagic’s professional editing and color grading tools.
Professional audio support has been expanded with dual mini-XLR inputs, a 3.5mm stereo input, built-in stereo microphones, a mono speaker, and a headphone output. Additional features such as 3D LUT support for monitoring and recording, lens metadata capture, still image shooting up to 21.2MP, and multicamera timecode synchronization make the 6K Pro equally suited for narrative, documentary, live events, and broadcast workflows.
